2008 Porte Towne Magic Summer Program

The Porte Towne Magic Summer Program is a fun-filled musical experience for Portsmouth high school singers participating in Porte Towne Magic. Supported through a generous grant from the Portsmouth Museums and Fine Arts Commission, the program allows students a chance to shine and grow as aspiring musicians through a series of classes and workshops including choral ensemble, musicianship, stage presence, music careers, and movement taught by veteran Broadway singer and dancer Lauren Pastorek.

Singer Auditions

The Chorale will hold auditions for roster and substitute positions in the ensemble on August 27 or by appointment. Audition requirements include a prepared art song or oratorio aria, prepared excerpts (provided to applicants), and musicianship/sightsinging. To be considered, applicants must first submit a resume to Ann Prince, Chorus Manager, by mail or email her at ann_prince@vachorale.org.
